Historic Detroit

Every building in Detroit has a story — we're here to share it

719 Virginia Park (John F. Radtke House)

The house at 719 Virginia Park Street was designed by George V. Pottle for James C. Mock and built in 1908–1909. This substantial three-story brick residence is part of the Virginia Park Historic District. In 1970, it became the Detroit chapter house of Kappa Psi's Mu Omicron Pi, the professional pharmaceutical fraternity at Wayne State University. The fraternity has maintained a long association with the property, which remains its chapter house today and is known as the John F. Radtke House.
