709 Virginia Park (Luther K. Marshall House)

The Luther K. Marshall House at 709 Virginia Park Street was designed by William E. N. Hunter for Luther K. Marshall and built in 1908–1909. Marshall was the first resident and, with his brother George, operated Marshall Brothers, serving as sales merchandise brokers for the Michigan Condensed Milk Company. The small dark-red-brick Arts and Crafts bungalow is the smallest house in the Virginia Park Historic District. It features a gabled open porch with simple brick piers, an open-timbered gable, and simple bargeboards.
