Frederick H. Spier (1855 - Feb. 8, 1931)

Frederick H. Spier was one of the principals of the Detroit architectural firm Spier & Rohns, which designed many churches in Michigan and other significant buildings, including the Chamber of Commerce Building in Detroit and buildings at the University of Michigan.

He was born in Bueckeburg, Germany, in 1855. He moved to the United States in 1873, and died in Detroit on Feb. 8, 1931.
